Kristal is a special counsel in our national Dispute Resolution Team, specialising in professional indemnity. She is a highly experienced litigator, regularly acting for professionals and their insurers in the construction and health sectors, appearing for them when they face civil litigation, disciplinary investigations and charges before their professional bodies, the Health and Disability Commissioner or Coronial inquests. Kristal also advises insurers around liability and complex indemnity claims.

She is renowned for providing her clients with thorough, clear and pragmatic advice regarding their claim or complaint, as well as practical risk mitigation strategies.

Kristal regularly appears before the District, High and Courts of Appeal and other specialist bodies on behalf of a range of professionals and their insurers. As a highly experienced advocate, she also supports her clients through alternate forms of alternative dispute resolution.

With experience spanning more than 15 years, Kristal has practiced in Australia and New Zealand as well as in-house counsel on secondments to insurer clients.
