Our Rural team works closely with our specialist Commercial team to provide comprehensive expertise to the agribusiness and corporate farming sector. We work with clients involved in the full range of rural-based activities – from dairy farming to marine farming, cropping to horticulture, irrigation companies to agricultural engineering businesses.
Several of these projects have been of a very substantial size, involving both commercial and political sensitivities.

- The completion of a complex restructuring of farming companies involving multiple parties, professional negligence claims against former advisors to the companies, and negotiations with insurers and the Inland Revenue.
- Restructuring of commercial arrangements necessitated by the receivership of one of New Zealand’s largest and most well-known corporate dairy farming operations.
