Biosecurity
Our biosecurity law specialists have unparalleled experience assisting their clients to navigate their way through the requirements of the Biosecurity Act 1993 and the approvals process of the Environmental Protection Authority.
We have been involved in all aspects of the development of regional pest management plans and pathway management plans from inception right through to completion. We have been in the unique position to be involved in the first Marine Pathway Management Plan in New Zealand and to advise several Councils through the preparation of their regional pest management plans and biosecurity strategies. We also advise on the implementation of plans including funding, compliance and enforcement matters.
We have undertaken training for Hearing Panels and experts involved in these processes and have advised Councils on their consultation and decision-making requirements under the Biosecurity Act 1993.
