Air Quality
Working with you to achieve better air quality outcomes
The Wynn Williams team are experts in the various aspects of air quality management.

The team has worked with local authorities in the development and implementation of regional plans and non-regulatory work programmes to manage air quality and regulate discharges to air, whilst ensuring continued growth in industrial and rural sectors.

This has involved the creation of innovative solutions through the use of better technology such as ultra-low emission burners and other best practice methods to achieve better air quality outcomes and achieve the targets of the National Environmental Standards for Air Quality.

We work with local authorities in the implementation of regional plans, including the processing of resource consent applications, and advice on compliance and enforcement matters.

We also advise the primary sector, industry and property developers on compliance with relevant plans and the Resource Management Act 1991 in order to enable the development and ongoing operation of activities that discharge to air.

We work with clients to obtain resource consents for discharges to air from their activities, including from mineral extraction and aggregate processing, concrete-batching, intensive farming, subdivision and development and domestic burning.

We also assist with the development of smoke, dust and odour management plans to manage nuisance effects and advise and act on enforcement and prosecution matters.
