Sinead Hart
Sinead is a senior associate in the national Corporate & Commercial Team. 

Sinead has over 15 years’ international legal experience gained at major accounting and law firms in the Dublin, Sydney, London and New Zealand markets.  She moved to New Zealand in 2010 and has nearly seven years’ New Zealand specific legal experience.  Prior to joining Wynn Williams, Sinead worked for the legal arm of a "Big 4" firm. 

Sinead works alongside Hayley Buckley, Stephen Lowe and Ash Hill advising clients on capital raising, and mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to her corporate advisory work, Sinead has a wealth of experience advising, and drafting commercial contracts and negotiating terms.

Sinead has been recommended in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017, and Chambers and Partners UK guide to the legal profession, where she was commended for offering clients "practical solutions".

Recent Projects

  • The following are examples of Sinead's domestic and international legal work whilst at Wynn Williams and other firms:
  • Advising a number of large multi-nationals as to the New Zealand corporate law options for a legal entity rationalisation post acquisition and project managing the merger.
  • Advising a large listed entity on its company law and listing obligations in implementing an employee share scheme and drafting of all requisite corporate documentation.
  • Advising overseas clients on the application of the Overseas Investment Act 2005 to an acquisition of sensitive land and assisting with the application for consent.
  • Advising on structuring options for doing business in New Zealand and the corporate governance requirements which apply.
  • Drafting of a bespoke constitution in relation to a property development company.
  • Drafting shareholders agreements for entities in a growth phase in light of specific commercial objectives.
  • Advising a multinational retail group as to the consumer law requirements that apply in New Zealand.
  • Advising on the restructure of a corporate group in preparation for a divestment to a third party.
  • Advising on the New Zealand aspects, and implementation, of a global spin-off of a multinational business.
