Tegan Wadworth

LLB, BSc, Solicitor

Tegan is a solicitor in the Firm’s Resource Management and Environmental Law team, advising local government in relation to both district and regional resource management matters, including planning processes. She brings a unique insight into the requirements of council clients gained from her time working for a regional council, and has particular experience with resource consents.

Tegan also regularly undertakes resource management consenting related due diligence on residential and commercial properties.


Recent Projects

  • Assisting with the provision of legal and strategic advice in relation to local authorities’ planning documents.

  • Assisting with advice regarding obligations pursuant to the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 in relation to the disclosure of information and meeting requirements.

  • Assisting in advising on various Environment Court resource consent appeals for a district council.

  • Assisting on first instance Environment Court proceedings for a regional council’s plan changes.

  • Assisting with legislative and governance compliance reviews in relation to various obligations of a regional council.

  • Assisting in advising local authorities in relation to fees and charges policies.

  • Advising residential and commercial property clients on resource management and environmental aspects of due diligence, particularly district and regional resource consent requirements.
