Andrew has specialised in relationship property law and trusts for over 20 years, including estate litigation, reverse litigation and testamentary promises. His approach to litigation is both practical and pragmatic, putting the client’s needs first by setting out clear expectations from the onset.
Having completed courses in advanced negotiation and advanced mediation at Harvard, Andrew has conducted over 70 successful mediations throughout his career and is an advocate for alternative dispute resolution.
Andrew has been involved in many high profile cases, he regularly provides media comment nationally on issues relating to family law and has presented at numerous seminars relating to the Property (Relationships) Act and its interplay with trust law.
Andrew has served a number of terms on the Family Law Committee of the Canterbury District Law Society. He has also been a member of the Property (Relationships) Act Committee of the NZ Family Section and a member of Lawyers Engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution (LEADR).
