Wynn Williams has teamed up with Abley Transportation Consultants to provide a free online information portal in order to explain the effects of the Auckland Combined / Unitary Plan process, including the process of making submissions.
The draft Plan will be released on 16 March, for public consultation through to June.
The website,
www.aucklandplanadvice.org.nz, provides advice about the scope and implications of the Plan, and how landowners, businesses and members of the public should engage with the process to ensure the best possible outcome.
Changes to the Resource Management Act contained in the Reform Bill currently before Parliament mean that there will be a new streamlined hearing process for the Plan, with very limited appeal rights. It is especially important to take a proactive approach and engage with the Plan process at an early stage.
The website also contains contact details for a large range of independent experts who can assist with understanding the Plan's effects. These experts can also provide assistance through the submission process. The use of appropriately qualified and experienced experts is essential to maximise the probability of achieving the desired outcome.
