Wynn Williams is delighted to announce three promotions within its national team.  The firm would like to congratulate Katherine Binsted, promoted to Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial Team, and James Anson-Holland and Courtney Donaldson both promoted to Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team.

Katherine Binsted, Senior Associate

Katherine joined the firm in October 2019.  She has dual senior capability in both commercial property and corporate advisory.  In particular, Katherine has considerable expertise in commercial leasing and complex property transactions and in corporate mergers, disposals and acquisitions.  Katherine also has significant overseas experience having worked in two multinational law firms in the UK.

James Anson-Holland, Associate

James’ practice focuses on commercial, equity and trust law.  He is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is undertaking a series of advanced certificates toward a STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates.  He is also an associate of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand Inc (AMINZ) and has presented a paper at the annual AMINZ Arbitration Day.  Outside of the firm, James tutors at the University of Canterbury School of Law, assisting the faculty with a number of academic courses.  He also continues to publish a broad range of academic works in leading New Zealand and Australian legal journals.

Courtney Donaldson, Associate

Courtney joined the firm in January 2017 and works primarily in the areas of relationship property, care of children, regulatory proceedings, and criminal law.  Courtney's work in relationship property includes assisting clients with litigated and high value property disputes, as well negotiating and drafting separation or contracting out agreements.  She has considerable experience in other Family Court proceedings, particularly under the Care of Children Act 2004 and the Family Violence Act 2018.  In the regulatory sphere, Courtney has developed considerable experience and expertise in assisting transport providers and freight companies in their response to enforcement action taken by the New Zealand Transport Agency.  Courtney also regularly appears in the criminal courts on a range of matters.

National Managing Partner, Philip Maw commented “Although there is much happening outside of the firm at the moment with the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we believe it is important to continue to recognise the excellence being displayed by our employees.  We are very proud of our new associates and senior associate and their accomplishments, and are pleased to be able to acknowledge these well-deserved promotions.”
