One of the firm’s litigation lawyers is switching his suit for yoga gear! As an Ambassador for the Africa Yoga Project, James Anson-Holland
will be hosting a 90 minute all-level vinyasa yoga class in Christchurch on 28 July. James is hoping that the event, which is being sponsored by Wynn Williams, will help him to reach his target of $15,000.
The Africa Yoga Project’s mission is to use the practice of yoga to educate, empower, elevate, and expand employability with youth in Africa. It provides much needed opportunities for youth to become leaders in their community and delivers global wellbeing.
James commented, "The Africa Yoga Project is an inspirational philanthropic organisation that is helping to develop the wellness industry in Africa using the transformational principles and practices of yoga. As an Ambassador I will self-fund a service trip to Nairobi, Kenya in order to observe and participate in the work the Africa Yoga Project is currently doing. This includes, amongst other things, running a series of workshops for participants of the Africa Yoga Project Academy on selected topics relating to legal rights and remedies. It is through these and other professional skills workshops that graduates of the Academy are able to increase their employability and make a difference in their communities".
Proceeds from the session will be donated to the project to help with the inspiring work that they do. For full details on the event and to purchase tickets see the Eventbrite website: https://bit.ly/2XTZN3b
