Within Wynn Williams there is a group of players, most active and some who should be contemplating retirement, who have a keen interest in things sporting with established technical knowledge and resources, and valuable experience of organisational structures, disciplinary processes and commercial contracts, the firm is well placed to guide any player or sporting organisation. 

We understand that for many, sport is voluntary and (often) played just for the fun of it.  We take the same attitude to, and are willing to assist, with advice, documents and representation tailored to the sports person or the individual sporting organisation.  Often legal advice taken early and applied carefully, can save a lot of difficulty, upset and cost.
We would like to help you be a better player or to be a better sporting body for your members, because that is what sport is all about.

Injured player decides to sue – the right thing to do?

Alex McKinnon, a former Newcastle Knights NRL player left a quadriplegic after being upended in a tackle by the Melbourne Storm's Jordan McLean in 2014, is planning to sue the NRL and Mr McLean personally, seeking damages as a result of the incident.
