Alice specialises in local government and environmental law and is well respected for her strategic and effective advice to local authorities across their legislative framework.
With her depth of knowledge in both environmental management and local government processes, Alice is also engaged to advise on contentious resource consent and district plan matters, frequently acting for clients on resource consent appeals and judicial review proceedings in the Environment Court and High Court.
She is also regularly involved in consenting projects and working with project teams from the inception of an idea through to project delivery.
Alice's previous role as General Counsel of Queenstown Lakes District Council gives her a unique perspective on the issues government clients face and how to best respond in a political and pressured environment.
