Jenny Turner
Jenny is a senior associate in our Private Client Services Team.
 
She has experience in a broad range of property matters including residential, commercial and rural property sale and purchase transactions, leasing, financing and property development.
 
Jenny enjoys assisting clients with subdivision, whether it is freeholding as existing cross-lease title or completing a Unit Title development.
 
Jenny acts for wide range of clients including buyers and sellers of small business, and both commercial and residential landlords and tenants. 

A particular area of interest in Jenny’s practice is estate planning, asset protection planning, ownership structuring, and trust formation.

Assisting Family Members with a Property Purchase

Banks are restricted by the amount of lending they are able to offer purchasers due to a Loan to Value Ratio (LVR) imposed upon them by the Reserve Bank. The LVR is the amount of the loan divided by the value of the property and if this is more than 80%, i.e. there is less than a 20% deposit, the banks are stricter with the amount they will lend.

Bright Line Test - Sale of Residential Property

As part of the 2015 Budget, the Government announced changes to the tax rules around property transactions, introducing the 'bright line test'. The new rules will apply to transactions from 1 October 2015.
