The Court of Appeal has rejected QBE’s appeal in QBE Insurance (International) Limited v Allianz Australia Insurance Limited  NZCA 239.
Dishonestly offending will be taken seriously when applying to be a licensed salesperson, as is demonstrated in the recent case Real Estate Agents Authority v A  NZHC 2929.
The time of inception on an insurance policy was considered by the High Court in Body Corporate 74246 & Ors v QBE Insurance (International) Limited and Allianz Australia Insurance NZ  NZHC 1473. This decision has been upheld by the Court of Appeal.
